2012 Eligibility Any Southern Oregon Runner member in good standing. A SOR member must finish at least (8) runs during the series to qualify for an award. Events Included *** Resolution Run 1-6 Miles 1-6 Miles Frostbite Run 5K/10K *Couples Truffle 5K Relay Rogue River Half Marathon 5K Half Marathon Shamrock Run 5 Miles Lost Creek Trail Runs 5K/30K Tough As Nails 5K/10 Miles Longest Day Run 5K ** Cross Country Series (3) 5K Britt Woods Run 10K River Run 5K/10K Talent Harvest Festival Run 5K/10K Stagecoach Run 5K/10K Pioneer Run 5K/9 Miles *Rogue Valley Relay 50K/100K Turkey Trot 2 Miles/8 Miles Longest Night Mile 1 Mile * Relay Races are only eligible for 7 participation points. ** Cross Country Series Points are as follows 1st=7, 2nd=5, 3rd=3 *** Resolution Run is a participation points only run. Point Awards Participation: For each race that an SOR member finishes they will be awarded 5 points. Volunteers ** New for 2012** You must Volunteer for at least one race. This means that you can't run in that event. You need to be available for the race director for the entire event. If a SOR member does not run because they are volunteering, they will be awarded 5 points. It will be up to the race directors to supply the names of the volunteers. Race Directors Will be awarded 15 points for all of their hard work. Placing Points In addition to participation points, for each race (except relay races,Cross Country series, and the Resolution Run) that a SOR Member places in, the following points will be awarded in the age groups listed below. First = 10 points Second = 7 points Third = 5 points Age Divisions Male: 14 and Under,15-18,19-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64,65-69,70-74,75-79,80+ Female: 14 and Under,15-18,19-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64,65-69,70-74,75-79,80+ Awards First place trophies will be given for both male and female in each age division. Second place will receive a trophy. Third place will receive a medal. Awards Presentation Awards will be given out at the Resolution Run on January 1st.
